As a kid growing up, you may have begged your parents for lessons, but the reply went something like “we can’t afford private lessons or, you’ll never practice.” As an adult, life’s responsibilities put it on your “someday list” only to become less of a reality as time passed. Or, it’s just a matter of procrastinating (putting it off) even though nothing is preventing you from taking lessons. Maybe finances are limited and with most private online lessons being outrageously expensive, you’ve given up looking for a teacher you can afford. It could be as simple as not being able to relate to a teacher if you have taken lessons. They may have put undo pressure on you to practice, or assigned material that made you feel completely over-whelmed or frustrated.
