Frequently Asked Questions

Please read the FAQ section before sending your message. You may find your answer right here 🙂

EASY! Just Click on any of the buttons on my website that says “sign up for lessons” and it will take you right to my Profile information to sign up. Or, you can click HERE. You will see a green bar that says, Book a Lesson. This gives you options to select a free 15 minute lesson (one time offer only), a 30, 45 or 60 minute lesson. Once you have made your selection, hit “add to cart”. Now you should see how many to purchase. If you want to purchase an amount different from what you see listed, add one at a time to your cart, go back, add another one. Continue with this method until you’ve reached the amount you wish to purchase.

When selecting “Subscription” you will be required to fill in the day and time you want for weekly lessons. It won’t let you check out without this step. If you need to find a day and time, go back to the page that has the option to see what is available.

If you are a current student and wish to select “subscription”, it will require you to fill this in as well. You will NOT see your day and time in the availability chart. You need to contact me so I can make it visible for you to select. Once you have completed checkout, I will remove it again from the availability chart.

To see available days and times

Under “Book a Lesson”, click “Preview Availability”. The days and times available are always current and kept up to date.

You can see all the current prices by going HERE.

YES! I am running a Promotion for 15% off the regular prices for the 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions. Once you have signed up under this promotion, you will be grandfathered in to continue receiving the 15% discount for as long as you remain as my student. Read about the ‘Grandfather” clause HERE.

I have always required my students do weekly lessons. It not only gives them a reason to practice consistently knowing we will be meeting again in 7 days, but it also speeds up the progress of learning an instrument. Skipping a lot makes for very slow progress which leads to discouragement and giving up altogether.

Another reason for weekly lessons is that I rely on teaching as my sole income. If lessons are not well attended (skipped a lot) it affects my income greatly, therefore the need to replace that student with a new student who commits to weekly lessons is deemed necessary.

What about every other week or once a month?

As explained above, once a month is totally out of the question with how I run my lesson business. Every other week can be an option, ONLY if the few slots I use for every other week are available. Currently, I have 3 slots, Monday at 12:00 pm PST, Tuesday at 6:30 pm PST and  Wednesday at 12:00 pm PST. I have created these 3 slots only for the sole purpose that I do realize for some, every other week may be an only option. The reason for not having more available is because 98% of my students want weekly, not bi-weekly.

If you are interested in every other week, send me a message to see if I have one of these available and if it works for you, that’ll be great!

I cannot hold lesson slots for more than 2 weeks for personal financial reasons so I have provided two options for you to consider.

OPTION 1

To retain your day and time, you must agree to pay every other week for as long as you will be gone. I will mark one week as a “missed” lesson, which charges you for that weeks’ lesson. The following week, I will cancel the lesson, which refunds your money back into your LessonFace account as credit. This will go on for as long as you take time off from lessons.

OPTION 2

Forfeit your day and time, which makes that slot available for a new student and no longer is yours. When you’re ready to start back up, check the availability chart in LessonFace to see if I have any available openings. This can vary greatly as there are seasons during this business when I am booked full, and other times when I have quite a few openings, possibly even yours.

Once you have completed the signup process, I will contact you through the LessonFace messaging center to exchange personal information. Prior to signing up, it is not permitted. Once I have your email and phone number for texting, I will send you all the information you will need as far as material to purchase.
